Online learning, training and the methodology to use the computer as a tool are evolving.
Gary Alexander (1998) states "The job of the educator is not simply to create materials in which concepts are clearly explained, but to create learning situations in which students find themselves actively enganging with the concepts they are learning"
The use of internet as a teaching and learning tool offers a number of possible advantages:
1) It opens new ways of learning / training for many people. 2) It promotes deeper learning and critical thinking. 3) Group work and collaboration may become a viable pedagogical approach.
